Practice Team
This is an eight-partner group practice, consisting of 6 female and 2 male partners who work in Bridge Lane Health Centre, which is owned and managed by Wandsworth Primary Care Trust. We are also a teaching practice and undertake training of new GPs, practice nurses and medical students. There are usually at least two doctors (Registrars) attached to the practice for up to 12 months . These are fully qualified hospital doctors who are undertaking further training in general practice.
We share the Health Centre with Wandsworth Primary Care Trust personnel and have approximately 13,000 patients on our list.
Battersea was a traditional working class area but over the last few years there has been an influx of young middle class families. The practice population is varied with regard to class age and ethnicity – we have 655 children under 5 and 1147 patients over 65 (includes 398 over 75). Our practice population is a mobile one resulting in a turnover of 25 –29%. The practice is in North Battersea – our area covers from the River Thames to Lavender Hill and from Queenstown Road to Plough Road. To see a Map of our practice area, please click here
