Changing Repeat Items

If your prescription is changed when you visit the surgery please ask the doctor if the new item needs to be added to your repeat list. Please also tell us if you have stopped using any item as this will help prevent mistakes.

If the hospital has issued new treatments either from out-patients or if you have been discharged from hospital they are obliged to provide you with two weeks supply. This is to ensure that we receive all the information we need to continue to prescribe safely.

If you have been seen privately, your private doctor will need to provide you with the first prescription for any new treatments.  If you require regular medication after this we will normally be able to prescribe (except for Fertility treatment) provided we have all the necessary information.
